MDA® and the Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF)

Prerequisites: A basic knowledge of UML is helpful but not required.

Abstract: The Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) and the OMG’s Model Driven Architecture® are pushing model-oriented strategies and techniques forward in the industry. This session will examine the relationship between these two initiatives. It will also explore the potential for this relationship to work synergistically with other model-centric initiatives including Generative Programming, Domain-Specific Languages, Product Line Practices, Model-Integrated Computing, and Microsoft's budding modeling technology.
